About Us

Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, Window Warehouse has grown to become the south coast’s leading manufacturer of quality uPVC and aluminium windows and doors to the domestic and commercial sectors. Although a lot has changed in our 35-years of operation, our business is still set upon our family values and quality. Read more below.

The Beginning

Many of you may not remember clearly what happened in 1986. This was the year the late Diego Maradona knocked England out of the World Cup with the Hand of God, the tragedy in Chernobyl, Top Gun premiered at the cinema, the final stretch of the M25 was opened, and it was the year Window Warehouse opened its doors.

1986 was the year that Window Warehouse was opened by Malcolm Cake. Starting as a manufacturer and supplier of uPVC, we have gone strength-to-strength, offering market-leading products from the likes of Halo, AluK, Palladio, and in the past, LEKA.

Although the industry has changed over the years, we continue to provide our customers with great service, building a reputation for reliability and quality. Building from a small core team, we are happy to have retained colleagues, customers, and friends for more than 20-years, individuals who have become key members in the Window Warehouse community.

Delivering Quality Products

In our time as manufacturers, we have been behind the development of some of the best products on the market. This has included the likes of the Halo Imagine uPVC Bifold Door and several products within the LEKA range. Customers that choose Window Warehouse as their window manufacturer can enjoy uPVC from Halo, with the Rustique and System 10 systems available, boasting an A-C energy rating.

Our aluminium product range is designed using the market-leading AluK profile, one of the very best available. You can also offer your customers composite doors from the likes of Palladio & Solidor, and some of our doors even come with optional Kubu Smart Hardware!

Window Warehouse Today: 2024

Although many of the faces have grown older in the past 35-years, and new ones have joined, we remain dedicated to the family values upon which our business is based.

We are continuing to invest in our company, with our new aluminium factory and four trucks on the road highlighting this. By choosing Window Warehouse as your Window Manufacturer, you can be certain that you’ll be buying from a committed company that isn’t going anywhere.

Window Warehouse GGF Membership:

Window Warehouse is now a proud member of the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF). Members of the GGF manufacture and install energy-efficient windows, in homes and commercial buildings and are recognised for their adherence to high levels of quality as outlined by GGF.

The GGF is recognised by government bodies and have subsidiaries, such as FENSA, which are a body which ensure that energy efficient windows and doors installed adhere to current Building legislation. Other branch of GGF would include another familiar name to some, the BFRC (British Fenestration Ratings Council). The BFRC develop Window Energy Ratings that provide much of the industry with the baseline metric of which to base the thermal efficiency of our Windows and doors upon.

It is always highly recommended when looking for a manufacturer, fabricator or supplier of glazing related products that you should first seek out a Glass and Glazing Federation member.
