DoorCo partners with We Mind and Kelly’s Heroes, a charity that looks to provide support with mental health and preventing suicide. We Mind and Kelly’s Heroes were formed in 2019, following the death of Kelly Hewitt. DoorCo is currently donating 20% of its pink composite door profits to We Mind and Kelly’s Heroes to help support the charity in raising more awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.
Kelly was 24 years old when she took her own life after a short battle with anxiety and depression. The shock that followed for her family and friends, having seen Kelly as such a bright and bubbly individual, left them with a hole in their lives that will never be repaired or filled. However, they chose to channel their anger and upset into creating a legacy for Kelly, which would take shape as their charity, We Mind and Kelly’s Heroes.
We Mind and Kelly’s Heroes, through a range of fundraising events including a cycle in Kelly’s memory from John O Groats to Lands End, has raised over £100,000 in Kelly’s memories, which has been used to launch support tools through the charity itself for families and individuals struggling with mental health or bereavement of loved ones lost due to battles with mental health.
Pink Composite Doors
DoorCo has created a pink composite door, which has been dedicated to Kelly. However, in true DoorCo fashion, they have created not just one, but three pink composite doors for this range, in varying shades of pink. Pink was Kelly’s favourite colour, so it felt right to not just create one pink door, but a range for customers to choose from. These pink composite doors also come with exclusive glass options, in colours such as spirit pink and soul pink. These doors can also be paired with rose gold hardware, to keep your door allincompassing in the design.

Palladio Composite Doors
If you are looking for something more traditional and classic, we also offer Palladio composite doors, which offer a 65mm reinforced profile, a range of locking systems and low threshold options for improved access to your property. These doors also achieve u-values as low as 0.64W/m2K, and are versatile in their design, with a range of hardware styles and colours available. Palladio composite doors also come with the option of upgrading to triple glazing. They are perfect for traditional, period and heritage homes, due to the oak pattern they achieve in their design.
